"Ghayn" is an interdisciplinary author interview podcast dedicated to discussing recent books in the social sciences and humanities about the Arab region and its surrounding neighborhood.
Each episode traces the intellectual journey that led to the writing of the book, discussing its central questions, methodologies, and arguments, and bringing academic ideas to a broader audience, creating a space for learning, reflection, and discussion.
The episodes cover a wide range of disciplines, including anthropology, sociology, history, and geopolitics and studies of identity, memory, migration, and political economy among others. Each episode features a book as a starting point for a dialogue about the questions it raises and the reality it addresses.
Ghayn returns with a new structure produced by al-Salon and alternating between Arabic and English episodes and including a review of the book.
